Snow leopard positive for nCoV

 

The three snow leopards in the Louisville Zoo were positive for nCoV, making them the sixth animal to become infected with the virus after human contact.

Department of Animal and Plant Quarantine of the US Department of Agriculture on 11/12 confirmed two snow leopards and a female in the Louisville Zoo positive for nCoV.

They appear to be infecting an asymptomatic staff member, "even though the manager has taken precautions," the quarantine bureau said.

Snow leopard is the sixth animal to become infected with nCoV after close contact with humans.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, some dogs and cats in the US have been infected with COV.
